8 and 9 December 2006: Telethon
For the third year in a row, the French shopping centres managed by Ségécé will be getting involved in either organizing or hosting various activities in the heart of their malls: sporting challenges, fire fighting demonstrations, light trees, sale of teddy bears etc.
Thanks to these operations, 70,000 euros in donations were raised last year for the fight against muscular dystrophy. Storekeepers and customers will come together on the 8th and 9th of December 2006 in the same spirit of solidarity. The centres will be airing a video aimed at raising awareness about the AFM's struggle (the French muscular dystrophy association) and will also place a link to the AFM on their website.
New for 2006: a national challenge to double the amount of last year's donations. The storekeepers' association, will take part by buying m² of a virtual shopping centre that is under construction. The goal to achieve is 14,000 m².
