The project of the shopping centre of Aubervilliers has just been authorized by the Local Committee of Retail facilities of Seine-Saint-Denis. The shopping centre of the Quartier du Canal,
59 000 m ² GLA with an average food unit of 4 100 m ², will complete the program of 380 flats, 165 000 m ² of offices, the creation of TV Cité, museum living on the broadcasting
(4 000 m ²), 3 500 m ² GLA of restaurants, an underground parking of 2 000 places, the whole in an environment privileging the green spaces on 12 000 m ² GLA and exploiting the presence of the channel. The launching of the works is foreseen in the 2nd quarter 2006 for an opening in the 4th quarter 2008.
