The Belforte Shopping Center, named Varese Shopping Center when it was built in 1988, has been restored and its significant restoration works finished in 2006. Thanks to its 28 206 sqm surface, 12 200 sqm supermarket, 37 shops on 8 800 sqm and more than 680 staff, the Belforte Shopping Center contributes to the development of Varese territory, becoming the most important commercial pole in the province of Varese. Concerning the architecture, the restoration has been executed with an extreme attractive care and it has been developed around a particular tree, an ancient cedar of Lebanon, preserved during the extension phase and integrated in the architectural complex.
