Located in Prague 5, on the left bank of the river Moldau, Novy Smichov is very well served by both roads and public transport. Built in a strategic location, at the intersection of major transport routes, Novy Smichov is accessible by the Andel metro station, the most used in Prague, by seven tram lines and seven bus routes. The 1.2 million residents of Prague make up the centre’s catchment area. As the shopping centre was built on the site of the former Tatra factory, the architects from Studio DA decided to include an old factory wall, which is now classed as a historical monument, into the façade of the building.
