In the North East of Caen, the project of retail park of Val Saint Clair joins within the framework of the vast program of Hérouville Saint Clair's urban renovation. This multifunctional operation includes a park retail of 15 000 m ² GLA, a hotel secondary school and a hotel. Val Saint Clair is situated in front of the Saint Clair shopping center (40 500 m ² GLA) which includes an hypermarket Carrefour (10 000 m ² of sale), more than 80 stores and 1 500 parking spaces. It brings an additional offer to the existing site: 5 - 6 average units dedicated to the leisure activities, the sport, the culture, the multimedia and the tourism, restaurants and 614 parking spaces.
Imagined by the Cabinet Sud Architectes, this urban project, opened on the city, values the entrance of the urban area and is designed in the durability. All the partners of the project undertook in a step of sustainable development and high environmental quality. The project will be eligible as regards the label Valorpark of the National council of the French Shopping centres. Original architecture, search for consistency, qualitative materials, vegetable roof and green spaces, the project Saint clear Valley, which will open in 2011, is clearly centred in a step of urban integration.
